What abuse could you SUE yourself for?

Here’s a question I HAVE to ask you:

What abuse could you SUE yourself for?

In other words, what abusive behaviors are you inflicting on yourself that you would sue someone else for?

Now, we don’t have to go as far as taking legal action.

But take a moment to consider… what behaviors are a complete and total NO that if someone else treated you that way, you would:

>>> block them
>>> unfriend them
>>> delete their contact information
>>> ignore their texts and phone calls
>>> cut them out of your life completely

And in my experience there are typically 3 things that you would “sue” yourself for!

You are probably “suing” yourself for:

#1 Thoughts you are thinking

#2 Emotions you’re feeling

#3 Actions. Things you are doing… or not doing.

Let’s examine these a little bit closer.

YOUR THOUGHTS

How you would sue someone else for their thoughts: “Wow, I can’t believe they would even THINK that! I’m so done with them!”,  “You had to THINK about it, didn’t you?!”, “You would THINK that huh?!”….. We get MADD at people for their thoughts.

So, how are we doing this to ourselves?! How are you “suing”, your thoughts?!

Your Life: STORIES

If you haven’t realized yet, your life is a story and you are the author – you’re writing it! Every single day, no exception.

Of course there are things that are outside of your control but you get to decide how you react to any situation, what you learn from it and how you grow from it. Your life is happening no matter what, but you get to choose how to interpret it & how to write the story!! It’s ALL up to YOUR  interpretation!

And our thoughts are what create our story, so of course, you can get mad at or “sue yourself” for having negative thoughts that aren’t serving you.

The only way to have a positive outcome (or have what you want in life) is to think positive and productive thoughts.

If you aren’t, then you’re probably “suing yourself” over it.

Don’t let your thoughts control you.

Control your thoughts, control your life!

YOUR EMOTIONS

How you would sue someone else for their emotions: “I can’t tell her that, she will just blow up & go crazy on me! This person is too much – crying, yelling and making a scene! I don’t have time for this!”… we sue people for their emotions.

 So, how are we doing this to ourselves?! How are you “suing”, your emotions?!

Your life: ENERGY

Your energy is projected through your emotions which means that whatever you’re feeling you’re putting out into the world.

Energy is the source of your life.

If you are feeling crappy all the time, you have to get your emotions in check and work on your emotional intelligence.

What is emotional intelligence?

It’s your ability to be aware of your emotions, manage them, & change them!

I want you to understand why emotional intelligence is so important!

Here’s the thing… your energy is your fuel!

If you don’t have fuel, then it’s going to be hard to write good stories and be the author who intentionally creates their life. If you feel GOOD, you are likely to write a GOOD story! If you feel “bad”, you are likely to write a “bad” story.

Make your energy a priority!

YOUR ACTIONS

How you would sue someone else for their actions: “They did x to me! – cancel, done, you’re out of my life”.

So, how are we doing this to ourselves?! How are you “suing”, your actions?!

Your life: SELF-SABOTAGE

How many times have you told yourself:

“I am going to do it this time!”

or

“This is the time that it’s finally going to work out for me.”

And then… you come up with some excuse or another as to why now isn’t the right time or now isn’t the convenient time…

To stop self-sabotaging, be the person who keeps trying!!

It’s that simple.

No matter how many times you’ve failed, tell yourself that today will be different and TAKE ACTION!

Taking action in your life, even if it’s tiny baby steps, it will add up and add up until you finally see the results you’ve been after all along.

Now that you know the top 3 things that you would “sue yourself” for, really take a deeper look at your life.

Which one of these three do you have the most trouble in?

Pick the one that you’re ready to tackle and go after it TODAY.

  1. Choose to change your thoughts and tell yourself a new story.

  1. Choose to be aware of your energy.

  1. Choose to take action in the direction of your dreams.

When you start working on one area, you’re going to see how they are all interconnected.

They all influence each other.

Here are a few ways that I have tackled these:

THOUGHTS —-> MEDITATE + JOURNAL

EMOTIONS —-> PRACTICE USING THE EMOTIONS YOU WANT TO FEEL

ACTIONS —-> ASK YOURSELF: WHATS 1 THING I CAN DO THIS WEEK?

Once you learn to master this for yourself, you will be wildly surprised at what possibilities open up for you!

Don’t “sue yourself”, LOVE YOURSELF.
